From a young age, my grandparents shaped my love for the outdoors. Every chance they got, they would escape to the bush, and if I was lucky, I’d be right there with them. My grandfather had a world of knowledge about the wilderness—the creatures that moved through it, the whispers of the trees, the hidden stories in the tracks left behind. For a boy like me, it was nothing short of paradise.

As soon as I was old enough, I pursued my dream without hesitation. I spent three years studying, gaining the skills and qualifications needed to step into the industry, and for the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working in various reserves across South Africa. But no matter how much you study, nothing compares to the lessons learned out in the field. Books can teach you facts, but animals don’t read them—real knowledge comes from experience.

I am deeply passionate about wildlife and the conservation efforts that protect it. I’ve worked among incredible animals and alongside the people dedicated to their care, and it would be an honor to share these wild spaces with you. Nature is a remarkable teacher—one that does not judge, one that gives and takes in equal measure.

For me, the beauty of the bush lies in its stories. Every broken branch, every distant call, every footprint in the sand—weaving them together is like painting on a vast, untamed canvas. My role? To guide your brush so that you don’t just see an empty page but a masterpiece waiting to be discovered.
